My speech at the Opening Ceremony of 2016 Batch International Students of South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China on Sept-02, 2016

Honorable Dean Prof. An,

Respected Professors,

Faculty Members,

Administrative staffs,

International Students and YES scholars,

First of all, on the behalf of all new international students, I would like to thank to School of International Education of South China University of Technology for selecting us to the very competitive and highly useful academic degree. Also, we are equally thankful to the Ministry of Education, Peoples’ Republic of China for all arrangement during our study in China. I am sure all the international students will be highly benefitted from the peaceful academic environment and supportive faculties and staffs of SCUT. The opportunity that is being provided  is not only empower us but also helps to strengthen a bilateral and multilateral relations, helps to familiar with multi-cultures, values and emotions. For me, I usually surprise seeing the amazing economic growth, physical infrastructures and overall advancement of china on the short period of open up. I used to dream to learn and often share in my country about the Chinese dedication, hardworking, innovative and entrepreneurial nature of Chinese people as well as Chinese management, now it becomes reality, so, I am here with very specific objectives. I hope most of international students might have almost same objectives. Learning of international management, multi-cultures, multi-traditions, multi-values are very important these days as our world become smaller, economy and trade become borderless and interdependent. Thank you SCUT and Government of China for such a wonderful opportunity and effort to make us a new member of borderless world.   

This time, I remember the great Chinese masters Lao-tzu and Confucius as well as many other philosophers who laid the foundation of education, knowledge and wisdom. That was the time; china was one of the sources of knowledge and wisdom for rest of the world. In this time too, Chinese systematic and planned development is being a source of inspiration and role model for all developing countries like ours. China will be next hub for international education. I think, all that performed by china is due to the combination of Chinese management, honest, laborious and entrepreneurial Chinese people, dedicated leadership and most importantly the best education provided by Chinese universities.

Dear YES scholars, as we all are the professional students, we should learn to bridge and promote the inter-dependency between us and China, and honestly use our management expertise that we will gain at the end of our study, for the betterment of our people and country.

At the last, I would like to request to all in this intellectual gathering to work to stop over exploitation of resources, protect Mother Nature and act for sustainability wherever you live, whatever you do and whenever you have authority. 
Once again, thank you all and hope to have wonderful time during our study in china.
